【Objective】The status of crop genetic resources was investigated in Bulang nationality zone of Yunan to facilitate sustainable application and ecological protection of crop genetic resources in this area. 【Method】Personal interviews, household surveys and specimen collection were employed to investigate the crop genetic resources in 22 Bulang villages. 【Result】Total 290 samples were collected including food crops, vegetables, fruit trees, oil crops, economic crops and medicinal plants belonging to 55 families, 97 genus and 113 species. To be more specific, there were 115 food crop specimens under 7 families,17 genus and 19 species; 95 vegetable(wild vegetable) specimens under 21 families,33 genus and 40 species; 35 fruit trees under 23 families, 28 genus and 31 species; 45 samples of other plants under 19 families, 22 genus and 24 species. 【Conclusion】Bulang nationality zone had abundant crop genetic resources, therefore, more efforts should be made to collect and exploit these genetic resources. More importantly, superior varieties with outstanding economic traits should be screened out and promoted for commercial cultivation.
