广西蔗区蔗茎红粉蚧发生危害调查

【Objective】The occurrence and damage of pink sugarcane mealybug Saccharicoccus sacchari (Cockerell) (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) in Guangxi sugarcane-growing regions were analyzed to provide scientific references for preventing and controlling this pest. 【Method】The damaged plant rate and population density of S. sacchari on 20 sugarcane plots in 16 spots of 9 main cane regions were investigated from July 2012 to January 2013. To test population density, three canes in field were selected randomly from each of the 8 permanent sampling positions, which were 3 rows apart, and the mealybugs on canes were recorded. The damaged plant rate was investigated by recording the number of damaged plants from 100 canes in the same cane row for 4 times. 【Result】The results showed that S. sacchari was found in the 9 main sugarcane-growing regions In particular, Chongzuo was hit most seriously with the damaged plant rate over 60.00%. Though the damaged plant rate was as high as 79.75% in Kangnan Town in Hepu County of Beihai City, the population density was relatively low there. Other severe areas were Taoxu Town in Heng County of Nanning City, Dapu Town in Liucheng County of Liuzhou City, Luocheng County of Hechi City, Gangnan District of Guigang City and Tianyang County of Baise City with the damaged plant rate range of 40.00%-70.00%. 【Conclusion】S. sacchari was one of the most important pests on sugarcane, which could be found in main sugarcane-growing regions in Guangxi Province.
