【Objective】An overall design of farmland soil testing and formulated fertilization management system was developed in order to practice precise fertilization and for sustainable development of agriculture. 【Method】System structure, function module and database of farmland soil testing and formulated fertilization were designed in accordance with technical features of WebGIS and practical demand of fertilization. 【Result】Three-layer B/S network system was used to realize six main functions: map search, information search, statistics analysis, recommended fertilization, output & printing as well as system maintenance & management. The database was composed of two parts: spatial database and non-spatial database. 【Conclusion】This system can provide accurate and scientific fertilization information and guidance to farmer, enhance soil nutrition management and fertilizer efficiency, reduce agricultural environmental pollution, and promote sustainable development of agriculture.
