【Objective】The objective of the present study was to screen the most-efficient chemical fungicides against mango red spot disease pathogen, and to provide theoretical basis for its control. 【Method】The antifungal effects of 12 common fungicides against mango red spot disease pathogen were tested by using the growth rate of strain in vitro. Sterilized water was used as control. 【Result】The growth of strain was found to be inhibited by 100.00% when treated with 45% prochloraz EW (450 μg/mL), 25% propiconazol EC (250 μg/mL), 12.5% myclobutanil EC (250 μg/mL) and 25% difenoconazole EC (100 μg/mL). While it was only 89.83, 76.34 and 75.79% inhibited by treating plants with 80% mancozeb WP (1600 μg/mL), 12.5% diniconazole WP (73.5 μg/mL) and 75% chlorothalonil WP (1000 μg/mL), respectively. 【Conclusion】The above mentioned fungicides may be used alternatively or in combinations for controlling mango red spot disease pathogen.
