【Objective】The present experiment was conducted to screen summer soybean varieties suitable for intercropping with spring maize in different production regions of Guangxi, to enhance the output of soybean. 【Method】Screening experiment of spring maize intercropping with summer soybean was conducted in the field using 4 Guangxi registered soybean varieties and 2 national registered soybean varieties in 4 representative spring maize production regions of Guangxi in 2010. 【Result】Except Huaxia 1, which yield decreased 26.64% compared to CK in Long'an County, the yield of other soybean varieties increased significantly in each experimental county compared to CK, and the range of increase was from 23.72-99.89%. 【Conclusion】According to the quality requirement in different production regions, Guixia 1, Guixia 2, Guixia 3, Guixia 4 and Huaxia 3 could be extended mainly in Mashan County; Guixia 1, Guixia 3, Guixia 4 and Huaxia 3 could be extended mainly in Long'an County; Guixia 1, Guixia 3, Guixia 4 could be extended mainly in Du'an County, especially for Guixia 3. Guixia 1, Guixia 2, Guixia 3, Guixia 4 and Huaxia 3 could be extended mainly in Jinchengjiang District, Hechi City.
