【Objective】In order to develop organic farming and to enhance organic rice production in Guangxi, a new high quality organic rice cultivation technique has been developed using organic manure made from pig excreta, duck droppings and earthworms. 【Method】A two factor (organic manure and planting density) experiment was conducted using rice variety Guiyu 4 to develop a new organic rice cultivation technique. Plant height, effective panicle number, grain number per spike, seed setting rate, 1000-grain weight and yield were investigated. 【Result】All the treatments recorded over 5.25 t/ha yield. The yield of all the varieties found to increase with increasing the rate of organic fertilizer and planting density. The highest yield (6.97 t/ha) was recorded at 5250.0 kg/ha organic fertilizer and 37.5 million plants/ha planting density.【Conclusions】This experiment clearly indicated that the higher organic rice yield can be obtained by adopting the new organic rice cultivation technique (pig-duck-earthworm) with recommended amounts of organic fertilizer and planting density and it should be popularized.
