【Objective】The effect of different levels of irrigation and N application was studied in order to increase the crop yield and lutein content of Tagetes erecta L. 【Method】The crop of Tagetes erecta L. variety NK08-5 was planted in soil beds with furrow irrigation system and screened during the autumn season of years 2009-2010 with different irrigation and N fertilizer levels. 【Result】The significant differences have been observed in yield of Tagetes erecta L. treated 3600 m3/ha irrigation+270 kg/ha N and 3600 m3/ha irrigation+90 kg/ha N. The later treatment recorded maximum lutein content in Tagetes erecta L. 【Conclusion】The results clearly showed the combined effects of irrigation and N treatment on yield and lutein content of Tagetes erecta L. planted using beds planting and furrow irrigation method which were best observed at 3600 m3/ha irrigation and 90 kg/ha N levels.
