【Objective】The present experiment was conducted to study the toxic effects of nitenpyram, ethofenprox and their mixtures on Nilaparvata lugens, and to provide scientific basis for developing chemical pesticide for its control. 【Method】The toxic effects of nitenpyram, ethofenprox and their mixtures on N. lugens were determined by using rice stem dipping method. 【Result】The values of LC50 for nitenpyram, etofenprox on the 3rd nymph of Nilaparvata lugens were recorded as 0.4922 and 9.1847 mg a·i·L-1, respectively. When the efficiency mass ratio of the two single insecticides was 1∶12 and 1∶27 (Nitenpyram∶Etofenprox), the co-toxicity coefficients (CTC) were 249.89 and 138.15, respectively. 【Conclusion】The data revealed that combined mixture of two insecticides in the ratioes of 1∶12 and 1∶27 (Nitenpyram∶Etofenprox) gave excellent synergistic effect.
