【Objective】The aim of this study was to optimize the ingredients concentration in culture media used to grow Tricholoma lobayense Heim with mulberry sawdust for resource utilization and high yield cultivation, and the yield and benefits were analyzed based on addition of different quantities of mulberry sawdust. 【Method】The yield, biological efficiency, and input-output ratio were compared among different treatments. The treatments consisted of four different quantities of mulberry saw dust mixed with auxiliary material and wheat bran. The control (CK) culture medium contained the traditional ingredients including bagasse, cotton seed hull and wheat bran. 【Results】The result showed the practicable utilization of mulberry sawdust as the staple materials for the cultivation of T. lobayense, however, the yield was found related to the ratio of mulberry sawdust and wheat bran in the culture formula. The highest yield and biological efficiency and the best input-output ratio were found in the treatment containing 80% mulberry sawdust, 17% wheat bran, sugar, gypsum and 1% calcium superphosphate. The biological efficiency of the other treatments was not found higher than the control, however, the input-output ratio were higher compared to control. 【Conclusion】Utilization of staple materials with mulberry sawdust for the cultivation of T. lobayense Heim not only reduced the production costs, but also improved production efficiency, The technique was found suitable for popularization and application in silkworm production areas in Guangxi.
