不同基因型苦瓜种子发育过程中核糖体失活蛋白的累积变化

【Objective】In order to provide theoretical information for the utilization of ribosome-inactive proteins (RIPs) in M. charantia (bitter gourd), the trends of accumulation of ribosome-inactive proteins (RIPs) during seed development stage of different M. charantia genotype were studied. 【Method】The salt-soluble proteins of three genotypes of M.charantia seeds obtained from different seed development stages were subjected to SDS-PAGE analysis.【Result】The results showed remarkable differences in proteins of three genotypes. The differences were more pronounced in proteins with molecular weight ranged from 20.0 to 29.0 kDa. The 29.0 kDa proteins were higher in MC1 (the large fruit type genotype) and MC11 (small-warty fruit type genotype) compared to MC18 (wild type). No significant differences were observed in the accumulation of 29.0 kDa proteins at different seed development stages in three genotypes, however, these proteins showed remarkable differences when the plants were grown in different seasons. 【Conclusion】The RIPs from seeds of three M. charantia genotypes did not showed significant differences at different development stages of seed. The maturing seed was characterized by high yield and was easy to harvest and store, and can be used to study the alterations in RIPs. As a source material for RIPs extraction, M. charantia genotype with high RIPs content and seed yield would be recommended.
